Lily Lately

Lately, we've learned that Lily LOVES pickles...almost as much as I do. The first time I let her taste one (cruelly trying to get one of those puckered faces out of her) she loved it and got mad when I took it away. What can I say, like mother, like daughter.

Lily also loves pancakes. On my birthday last month, Josh made pancakes for breakfast. He thought it would be cute to make some tiny pancakes for Lily. She tore them up!

We have also discovered that Lily likes to play in laundry baskets. Go figure. How many of us didn't do that as a child.

Oh, by the way, the seperation anxiety, I only want Mommy phase has kicked in! As I'm sure most of you know, it's pretty sweet at first and makes you feel like a real Mommy, but it really stinks when you have to get away from them.

Anybody got any tips for getting miss lazy bones to crawl? She lays on her belly and "swims" but doesn't get on her knees and crawl. She gets all of the room by rolling around and arching her back. Not that I'm anxious for her to be getting into everything, but I don't want her to be laying around all her life...lol. She's 8 months old now, should I even worry about it at all?

Happy Easter Everyone!

Don't worry about the crawling. Some kids never crawl, but go straight to walking. My two boys were early talkers and late with sitting up, crawling and walking. Every child goes at their own pace.
She's such a cutie! That's so funny that she loves pickles. We tried the torture with lemons on both our boys, but they loved them.

I love that laundry basket picture! Sara was later crawling than Allison so I would kind of "help" her every once in a while. I would pull her up to the crawling position and kind of move one knee and the opposite hand in a crawl-type way. I have no idea if it really helped or not but she kind of liked it when I would do it. That's funny that she likes pickles. The other day I gave Sara a taste of ice cream and when I wouldn't give her anymore, she got so mad she cried real tears.

I have never seen a baby like sour stuff. Too funny. By the way she is so adorable! You can totally tell she is a Morace girl, Lily looks just like you and your sisters.

I miss that little girl. She is too cute! As for the crawling, I put Lyndon in the crawling position alot and just kind of left him that way until he figured out how to get himself out of it. I'm a mean mom though. But eventually he started rocking back and forth and then started crawling. And welcome to my life with that whole 'I only want mommy stuff'. He is 2 and I'm still dealing with it.

Yeah, I tried a lemon at dinner the other night. I finally got the pucked face I wanted, but she still wanted more. I LOVE sour stuff and I ate a lot of pickles while I was pregnant, so I guess she picked it up from me. I know they say some babies never crawl, but I don't know too many like that. I guess I'll just leave her alone, because she gets mad when I try to put her into the "crawling" position. She's been stubborn since before she was born...ha ha. Thanks for all the input guys!

Hey- sorry for being nosy but I love blogs!! About the crawling- its not even an official milestone- some kids skip it, Corynn pretty much did. I researched like crazy thinking something was wrong with her! She didnt really walk until 13 months but she's fine now..

Kailey didn't crawl until 9 months, and then she walked at 10. You never know how they will progress. I love the clothes basket picture, too.

My babies both like pickles and lemons, too. Eli will eat almost anything, though.

I also put Kailey in the crawling position and tried to help her out, but Eli never needed any help. Every baby is different.

P.S. I love the new background.
